After going through something as devastating as losing your spouse, there often lingers the question of "why?" We may not know why but we can lean on the one who restores, gives hope and life. Believing God's promises:
"For I know the plans I have or you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope

We are a widow support and encouragement group that helps you get back out and start connecting again. God's promises are fulfilled through relying on him and his provisions, starting with friendships.
No one knows what you are going through like your sisterhood of widows. We understand the hurts, the waves, the isolation, the life changes, the aching hole in our heart that lingers long after the funeral and everyone else's life goes back to normal.

As part of our flesh has passed, we struggle to find a new direction, purpose and motivation to move forward, not on, but forward. We must remember that nothing comes as a surprise to God. It is his pure and perfect timing that brings all things to pass.
"In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. - Proverbs 16:9
As we move through numbness to pain, sprinkled with occasional confusion, anger, bitterness and doubt, it's hard to find joy and peace.
As we pray and seek God, we find it is his peace that sustains us through the storm.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." - Romans 15:13

I found the transition to widowhood difficult. It was hard to see what I was without my husband. I need only remember who God made me to be to identify my purpose.
My experience as a professional communicator was the perfect platform for me to share my life with other widows who are hurting and in need of connection.
